Come Strum and Sing With Us!
The Rockland Ukulele Orchestra is hosting its second annual mass gathering of ukulele players. Players of all levels are invited to join us. Our goal is to have 200+ players strumming and singing together in a BIG joyful jam!
When: Saturday, May 2, 2026!
Time: 11:00am - 12:30pm
Location: The Angel Nyack, 18 South Broadway in Nyack (enter on Burd Street side entrance)
Extra Bonus!
We’ve all been asked to play “Ripple” at “Dancing in the Streets,” a wonderful outdoor music event organized by the folks at Maureen’s Jazz Cellar. We’ll be accompanying Dave Budway’s band at approx. 4:30 – so please join in if you can! It will make the perfect Nyack day or weekend!

Where Does the Fee Go?
The participation fee is $15. All funds are used to produce the event, which includes renting the screens/sound equipment for us to all follow along. We’d also appreciate any further donations to support The Angel Nyack, where the event is taking place. It’s a non-profit organization that is working hard to convert the former First Reformed Church into a performing arts center plus preserve the building for Soup Angels, which has been serving meals to our neighbors in need for over 20 years.
About The Rockland Ukulele Orchestra
This group of 50+ players meets every Thursday at 6:30 pm at The Angel Nyack. Each session culminates in a concert for the public. The format is very similar to what is happening at Uke-A-Palooza. So, if you like it – please join us!

Our Uke-a-Palooza Leaders
Meet Autumn Hill
The Uke-a-Palooza will be led by Autumn Hill with support from two teaching assistants. Autumn is a music therapist at Music for Life in Central Nyack. She has also been a stage manager for theatrical performances, has taught private instrumental lessons, and volunteered in various community programs through hospitals, churches, and local organizations.
“I am so excited for the opportunity to lead the Uke-a-Palooza. I believe such experiences provide so much joy and connection for our communities. Plus, a real sense of accomplishment! I can’t wait to bring this experience to a new group of eager musicians.”
– Autumn Hill
Meet Jeffrey Friedberg
Jeffrey will be assisting Autumn in running the weekly groups. He has been a music therapist for 30 years, has run The Bossy Frog Band for 25 years and loves building community through music. He is a 28 year resident of Upper Nyack.
“Who doesn’t love 25 people playing Ukulele and singing together! I can’t wait to build this community resource." - Jeffrey Friedberg
